Itrone Chieftan Ring (South Africa - One of a Kind)

These rings are of the highest quality African brass and gemstones harvested ethically by female miners and female mining collectives. The shape is the traditional stool throne of the Afriday chieftain.  The stool is used as a symbol of chieftaincy (particularly male) in special and private occasions, and is seen as a symbol of royalty, custom and tradition. Queen mothers may be seen in public sitting on the traditional stool as a seat of authority, communicating messages about the nature of leadership.  The Chieftan Stool is a powerful image of leadership, guidance and wisdom.  Our African artist wants to honor that tradition by creating a piece of distinction.
